A film about presence, identity and what resists beneath imposed forms. A voice against repression, a living dedication to the Iranian people.

Synopsis
IRAN IRAN is a short film built from images captured in the markets of Isfahan. Through mannequins, faces and fragments of bodies, the film explores the tension between identity and representation, between what is imposed and what resists./ What appears still is, in fact, alive./ What seems silent is full of voice. A suspended visual experience in which human presence emerges and endures, even when compressed, concealed, or denied.
Context
The images were collected during an extended journey through Iran in 2016. In the market of Isfahan, everyday objects revealed an unexpected intensity: mannequins appeared as presences, suspended between identity and anonymity, between exposure and erasure. Years later, the music brought these images back to life, transforming them into an act of listening and restitution.

Author’s Note
This film was created after the recording of the track IRAN IRAN, part of the album Aframe (2025). It arises from the desire to give voice to the Iranian people and, more broadly, to all forms of human resistance in the face of repression. It is an artistic gesture addressed to anyone, anywhere in the world, who stands against systems of power that restrict freedom.
Language
The film is built on repetition, stillness and minimal transformation. It exists between photography and cinema, between document and perception. The rhythm is guided by music, creating a hypnotic and contemplative experience.
