Synopsis
In “Ja Ma Tacu Sulawe”, Stenox weaves ethnic rhythms, electronics and acoustic elements into an experimental sonic fabric that moves between ritual and play. Japanese percussion acts as a timbral colour, highlighting passages and creating contrasts with the surrounding sounds. The track is threaded with improvised interweavings and unpredictable vocal and sonic inserts that deliberately escape a linear construction and open up spaces of estrangement. The lyrics, written in an invented language with a Mediterranean flavour, oscillate between apparent nonsense and hidden meanings, leaving the listener free to imagine. The result is a playful and enigmatic composition that does not seek to reassure but to stimulate, inviting a free, intuitive and sensory kind of listening.
